16th May 2015

By grace of our honorable sponsors TOSHIBA CORPORATION and FUJI ELECTRIC CO., LTD, First Access has donated solar lanterns to orphanages in Kenya and Ethiopia. This donation was granted as part of Tokyo Carbon Conference 2014.
Nyumbani Children’s Home is Kenya's first and largest facility for HIV+ orphans. We have been supporting the Nyumbani Children’s Home since our first Tokyo Carbon Conference held on 2009, and some of the aging lanterns has been unusable. So this year, we donated for replacement.

The Hope for the Generation was established in September to strengthen community support systems to provide care and support to vulnerable children, youth and women who are orphaned, neglected, abused, or underprivileged. As their chief provision for children is education, the lanterns are e passionately welcomed by all children.
